Hi

I am 21 years of age, 22 in december and need to find a company that will offer me insurance, a classic car policy will be great.

I am fed up of this topic as you probably know, my fellow age car drivers almost boast about the amount of cars they have written off, not understanding they are costing me money!

Also the insurance companies I have rung so far, keep saying it is imposible for a 21 year old to own a classic car, aparently I can't have one, I said I have got two, but will they listen.

Any ideas for places to try, hopefully in te near future the ford will be on the road so could do with finding some way of driving her!??

Cheers

Dave

Footman James are worth a shot, though you often get a staggering amount off if you belong to a car club that they recognise. Some clubs have deals with specific insurance companies, so membership is often very worthwhile!

I really feel for you Buzzy! my daughter is 17, 18 in nov,she has the playgirl mini we built for her 1972...but the insurane wont insure her until she is at least 19 most of them said 25! it also has full welded in roll cage, they said that because its been fitted you are expecting to need it!! if we had of known that we wouldn't have done it, just yet,it seems rediculous.

Footman James have a very strange pricing policy.

If you go for an on-line quote it will be about twice as much as anyone else. Two or three days later they phone you and say "due to a computer error they have quoted a wrong price" and the premium is about halved!

So don't accept their first price.
