Myself and a couple of friends frequently email our LA about such problems, one being hopelessly infrequent emptying of rubbish bins at a very popular walking area.
The LA have solved the problem - they've removed the bins! |

That sounds exactly like our lot - no wonder they wanted to amalgamate a while back. Ours had a dog waste bin on a popular path but found it rather inconvenient to empty, so they removed the bin to save themselves the bother of needing to remember a key and unlock a gate. Of course nobody took any notice and now there's a stinking heap of plastic bagged dog turds where the bin used to be. The bin was reinstated nearer the road access, but rather than do a proper job of fitting it they merely used a few zip ties to "secure" its steel post base to an old and rotting wooden post. It now leans at nearly 45 degrees and guess what that does to its capacity..? |
