Hi
Believe it or not there a 2 different companies using these 2 names and still, after many years, producing their Annuals (catalogue/magazines).
Nowadays they seem to concentrate on serving only modellers and craft workers, but I have a '66 album from Hobbies which has articles about building 1/1 scale large items as well.
Folding Play[pen for Kiddies
Garden Shed but called a Motor Cycle Garage
Plans for Canoes, Dinghies with or without sails and Power Boats.

Hobbies which dates from 1895 used to be in Dereham and they are still in Norfolk.

Hobby(s) dating from around the mid '60s, were originally based in Norwood High St, they are now in West Norwood.

I don't think I've ever seen hobbys used. Unfortunately I wouldn't be surprised to see hobby's though.

Hi
Sorry Peter, I hadn't spotted the apostrophe.

I have now edited the title for you; and put this explanation here so that your comment still makes sense.

I guess that was alright if it was a company/shop belonging to someone with the name Hobby.

My dad was a devoted Hobbies customer. He got the magazine every week and made a lot of the fretwork patterns that were included in the magazine. We had a model of the Mayflower sat on the sideboard for years and a 4ft. high model of Big Ben sat in a corner. I still have his treadle fret saw out in my shed.

I've a foot-operated saw that was offered to readers of Hobbies magazine, back in the days of sepia.
