To mark my return to the forum I thought we could have a little caption competition giving you the chance to win the small oil painting shown below, which measures approx 9" x 12".

Those familiar with the work of an artist named J.l.Chapman may recognise some elements of the background of this painting as I 'borrowed' the concept for my painting just adding the Ford Anglia to give a nice 1940/50's period feel.

The picture to be captioned (below) shows a garage forecourt of the late 50's or early 60's, but just what are the two standing figures saying?

All are welcome to enter and you can have as many goes as you like until the end of November when a winner will be chosen by Mrs. Nail and I.

The funniest entry will then receive his prize in good time for Christmas!

GOOD LUCK!

Hi

Welcome back, I will ahve to think about a caption, I am so slow with things like this, when people tell me a joke I get it about 3 days later and then burst out laughing, usually in the most unapropriate enviroment, like the doctors waiting room.

I do like your painting though, how much would you charge for something like that? Say of a Ford E83W? Pm me if you like?

Cheers

Dave

Hello sir, why don't you sell any classic and vintage cars?

Well these are the cars of the future sir, these modern state of the art machines will be your classics in a few years! Take care of one of these and you won't go far wrong!
