Morning all,

In the summer we called into Eden Camp, north of York on the A64. The site was used as a POW camp during WW2, initially for Italian prisoners and later for German.

The (late) owner of the site in more recent times had planned to build a factory on the site when he first purchased it, but instead decided to preserve its history and develop a visitor attraction that tells the story of war in the 20th Century (in particular WW2), and the role of Eden Camp during 1939-45. Each of the preserved huts tells one aspect of war history, and does a very good job of it with all the senses (including smell) cleverly used as the stories are told. We certainly found it very interesting.

Dotted around are a number of vehicles, and these are included in the following photographs.
