Hello Andy. Even though in general British cars don't seem to make the aussie pulse race as do Holdens and Fords, nevertheless there are a lot of proud owners of British cars, and specialised clubs for the same. Myself I am the owner of three Rovers- 1950, 1959, and 1982 and belong to the Rover Car Club of Australia and the Rover P4 Driver's Guild of Australia.

If you hunt around I am sure that you will find Triumph owners groups in or near Sydney.

Welcome to the Forum,

Thanks for the welcome,Dane yes I am already a member of TSOA here in Sydney, so hoping to go to a few shows this year.
My dad always wanted a new rover and it was always going to be red, sadly never happened but you never know one day I may get one in his memory.

My other little beastie is a TR7 which is great fun to drive, sadly though I don't really have the room for all of them plus daily drive plus wifes and young blokes car so the TR7 is going to have to go.

Interesting to see these Australian (assembled?) saloons always have the side strip.
Good to see one in use. My father had a 2500 TC, I have had a 2000 Mk2 and a 2500 Mk2 for years. Great cars. Loved the overdrive on them and the six cylinder engine. I still have my 2000 Mk1 in the shed, waiting for some panel work.

Hi Pom. Welcome to the friendliest forum anywhere. I am also a Triumph fan and have fond memories of a certain Triumph Dolomite Sprint in glorious Magenta! I also owned a GT6 Mk3 for over 30 years as my daily driver.

I am now the proud owner of a 1949 MG TC which hails from Woolamia. How far is that from you?

Saw one of these in Cardiff today. Orange - must be a 70's original colour?
