When I was restoring an old 33 Chrysler (over 30yrs ago) I got some hide food from a saddlers, I slapped a slack handful on the seats and massaged it in every time I passed them. The seats had been in a windowless car in a barn for over 25yrs and were very dry, it took time but they came up nice and supple. If you cannot find a saddlery I Think Connolly do one, but shop around on prices.
(My hands came up very soft too!) _________________ 1974 Mk1 Escort. |

Connollys Hide Food is highly recommended, not as expensive as you would have thought either. _________________ Various Rootes Vehicles. |

I have used all sorts of leather treatment here, but one of the best "softeners" I have found is the good old dubbin that we used to use on football boots.

Its weird being the same age as old people.
You are either part of the problem or part of the solution |

The seats will probably eat it if they are really dry, prepare to use a lot if so...... _________________ 1974 Mk1 Escort. |
