Hello people. I'm very happy to be approved to join your community and I'm very sorry if the format of my post is not appropriate according to the forum standards, but I would like to ask you for your help. My father and I have been restoring a 1937 Skoda Superb II for over 10 years and it is finally finished. While we have worked very hard on it, we are not specifically informed about the vintage car market. Over the years it has been a great investment, but most importantly it has been done with lots of heart and passion. Furthermore, the car has reached *some* attention, while being published in a national automobile magazine. We have had a few people contact us, looking to purchase the car, but the price has varied greatly and therefore we have come to a position where we aren't trusting these people. I would like to ask if anyone could help us come close to what a realistic price would be, or at least how we could get to one. Thank you everyone who have read this for your time. Smile

Here is an attached picture of the car if anyone is interested:

Welcome to the forum.

I can't help with a valuation sorry, but it'd be interesting to read more about the restoration.

It's always interesting to read about a restoration. Do you have (m)any photos of the car, as you found it? Or perhaps with earlier owners?

If you really want to sell, perhaps the best way would be to let the interested parties bid against each other in an auction and see what it fetches. I'm guessing that this car must be pretty well unique and so putting a notional value on it is impossible - it's worth whatever someone is willing to pay on the open market, whatever that may be.

I agree.....entirely.

Actual market value may differ from perceived value considerably.
But, in any event, a potential vendor does not have to accept any of the offers made.

I would think that an auction is the way to go, preferably with one of the larger auction houses who will attract the right kind of buyer.

I'm interested in more information on the restoration and history as well. Is this a standard-production body, or a special creation by a coachworks such as Sodomka or Uhlik?

I would assume it started life as a hearse.
