Hi
A bit of advice please.
I have an Austin 10 gs1 and have aquired a trolley jack. Jacking up the rear end no problem but the front I am unsure where to jack from before putting axle stands in place.
I realize jacking centrally from the cross beam is not an option so is it best to jack from near the leaf spring one side put the axle stands in place then the other leaf spring and put the second axle stands in place.
I am a bit worried as to whether this will twist the cross beam or is the car chassis stiff enough.
Any advise
Cheers
Peter

Hi Peter,

Your car is designed to be able to drive over nasty impulsive bumps in the road that will cause much more stress than you jacking up on one side.
