You mean, you expect the garage to remain standing and intact, after it has been hit by a tonne of motorcar?

The description 'bunker' might fit the bill in this instance?

25-odd years ago, I had a battery explode in my garage....it lifted the roof above where the explosion occurred...I don't think it affected the joints in the concrete panels, however...

Not the most clever thing to do driving into the wall of your garage.

But still must have been quite scary for the couple in the car.

At parking speed, yes. IMO a garage that just collapses like that isn't really fit for purpose, maybe I'm just old fashioned... Confused

A garage these days is but a shelter. If it keeps the weather off a motor, its done its job.
