Spotted this "regular-user" RS2000 the other day, the owner bought it in 1986. By comparison, the styling of the "thing" in the background is a right "dog's dinner" IMO Smile

Rick, I completely agree with your comment on the "thing" behind! It makes the 'black beast' look very attractive

They don't style cars any more. The computer spits out an ideal design "The Stylist" tweaks it a bit to try to make it look different. Then the accountant changes it again to save a few pennies. Hence the "Thing"

One of these was sold at Mathewson's [Thornton Dale, and telewelly]....auction last time....fetched a pretty penny, but it was a pretty thing...

I remember Wallies' Trolleys had one in Scarborough...engineers runabout, used it to tow dead buses with...Always fancied one....

Sorry, for sensitive bus types, Hardwicks of Scarborough...taken over by Wallace Arnold.....then, later, by EYMS...Used to run stage carriage to Hutton Buscel...and worker buses to Fylingdales EWS....[secret squirrel stuff!]

Was passes by a lovely K reg (1971ish) Somerset registered VW Beetle in Ilminster town centre yesterday, young lad driving it too.
