Inspired by the Field Marshall Haig car I have been investigating other round radiator cars. Here is Michael Worthington Williams at his best.

Thanks Ray. An interesting history of a now little known maker. _________________ Dane- roverdriver but not a Viking. |

I had an interesting discussion with a steam car guy a while back. The topic was whether a Grout steam car (sold as a Weston over here) being offered in America for a huge sum was a genuine London to Brighton contender or a 1905 model - and ineligible and therefore worth considerably less.
Some time previously I had unearthed a photo of the Grout when it was first discovered in a derelict condition by the late Arthur Funai of Lynfield, Mass. At that time it had a barrell bonnet - or hood - as they say, with round condenser (that looked like a radiator) which would have made it 1905. By the time he had restored the Grout (50 years) it sported a very nice early replica body which made it look 1903. |
