Not sure that the police would approve. I sense that any display of automotive frivolity, real or perceived, is going to be seized upon this weekend. _________________ 1953 Citroen Traction

Oh, I don't know, surely painting the front gates is a great way of keeping other people from coming in. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

Just heard a quantity of [loud] motorcycles drive past through the village, on the 'main' road.[not past me, I hasten to add]....
What determines 'frivolity?'
Just seen a rural police land rover putter past.....wondered whether I should ask whether the officer is deliberately driving in a frivolous manner?
Surely driving a potentially quite unreliable Land Rover could be deemed frivolous?
When a modern weeny hatchback would do the job much more economically [and less frivolously?] _________________ Dellow Mk2, 1951 built, reg 1952.

Not wanting to appear all "fun police", but is there any way that the discussion of covid-19 related stuff, including lockdown, use of classic cars during lockdown, whether it's better or worse to use an old car for your essential journey, whether pushing it home counts as your daily exercise, and anything else, could be kept in one thread? It's creeping into all sorts of places now and getting a bit in the way*. Sure, it's a discussion forum and, politics aside, it's fair game to discuss how it interacts with the hobby that everyone on here enjoys, but it'd be nice to keep it in one place.
(* In my opinion, of course). |

Not an unreasonable suggestion IMO

Funnily enough Rick we saw a GT6 drive by ours this afternoon, two youngish chaps inside looking quite pleased with themselves.
Maybe a restoration just completed. _________________ Various Rootes Vehicles. |

Whilst out with the family on our 1 daily exercise we passed a farmyard that around the back contained a small paddock of classics all rusting away.
Some Autin A50s, A30s, a Ford 100E, a few Vauxhall FBs some Rover 60-100s and a Ford Zodiac.
And thats just what I could see through the open parts of the hedge. _________________ Various Rootes Vehicles. |

A return visit is in order, surely, it sounds like the perfect family day out.

I will wander down past that paddock of cars again Rick, its only a couple of fields away from our shed that we rent!
Saw a Cortina Mk2 1600E up on the back of a transporter this afternoon. It was on the A303 near Yeovil, it was green and looked like it needed plenty of work. _________________ Various Rootes Vehicles. |

The one I can see clearly is a Mk4, there are plenty of others round the corner in the yard that I can't make out too well by many roof lines are more rounded like many 50's cars.
I will try and have a better look next time. _________________ Various Rootes Vehicles. |
