Literature time, and from the latter end of the time period covered in the brochures section (1920s-1980s), two glossy flyers for Jaguar XJ40 conversions - the most interesting being a two-door, twin-turbo, XJ40, both it and a lwb limo being proposed by Robert Jankel Design Ltd.

A proper obscurity uploaded to the brochure section this time, for the UK-market Skoda 1200 range of the 1950s. Not a car I've ever seen in the metal.

A couple of comments and one question on the Skoda 1200-1201 video:

The shape reminds me of a 1949-50 Shoebox Ford . . . definitely smooth styling.

On the "Dream of a Car Come True" brochure page, the drawing appears to be a two-tone car. None of the photos show a two-tone paint scheme. I wonder if it was available.

Under the bonnet, sticking out of the water pump, there's a valve/handle. Haven't seen a setup like that before. What's it for?

Interesting Review,
Joe

HJ has put together a short vid featuring some of his motoring-related postage stamps. It's only short so please watch it if you're able, he'd appreciate the support and encouragement. I've added it to the main collectables page on the site, or you can view it over on YT - https://youtu.be/ni71bzopCbE

I'd never realised that so many British cars appeared on stamps and although I'd been to Dubai I'd never heard of Ajman.

Do you have a brochure for the A40 sports?
In my head I imagine the sales blurb saying ;
" Buy the new A40 sport. It handles like a van" ('cos it's got the same chassis).

I don't have one for the Sports sorry, I suppose I should try and find one to complete the A40 "set".
