What's the story with the photo Mike?

Neat photo of your cousin and the Minx petelang.

Very interesting photos of the Austin tilly there Peter L. Reminds me of the military Austin 8 tourer photo on the main site (https://www.oldclassiccar.co.uk/austin-staff-car.htm), no photos of a tilly version in the image archive section as yet mind Wink

Just going through some old photos at home and I found it. My Mum used to go on trips around Europe back in the fifties, so I'm guessing that it was taken on one of those. No idea who the bloke in the photo is. Similarly:

My mother (in the foreground) got her driving licence before tests were required so I guess the L plate was for her friend Dorothy whose car it was.

What a lovely looking Tilly, the Austin survives best from the original versions (Austin/Hillman/Standard). Although there were some Morris 10 versions too.

They are very much sought after these days.

I'm currently working through a flickr collection : https://www.flickr.com/photos/foundin_a_attic/

Some interesting stuff in there, some older stuff, lots of general photos and, for some reason, images of old Teletext screens.

small Wolseley by foundin_a_attic, on Flickr

Prior to that I was trying to keep up with the stuff that another flickr user, "trainsandstuff" was posting, but they have recently announced that they're moving it all to another sharing site as it will be better to find stuff.
