There's a fair variety of aftermarket wiper arms available. Are you sure you couldn't find a pair of new ones? Likely to be cheaper than getting old ones replated and a deal less hassle and delay to boot.

Does anyone know of a company who will rechrome pitted Mazak, the stuff Triumph Herald headlamp cowls are made of? I have some lightly pitted versions, but the chrome is almost faded away to dull metal so would like a good shiny pair again, but I know that a few years ago very few companies would touch Mazak at all.

I don 't think that it is do-able, but there are firms who can coat items that are not too far gone with something that resembles chrome but is, in fact, a kind of paint finish. I think that it is some kind of polyurethane and has a clear lacquer finish.
