Does anyone know if Keith Ardley is still in business? I am very frustrated that - having sent Keith Ardley my MG TC headlamp reflectors for silver plating - he has not accnowledged the order. There is no reply from his email address ( I have two addresses for him ) and his telephone number is not being recognised.

I last spoke to Keith's wife a few weeks ago and she confirmed that Keith was still doing silver plating. She explained that they had moved into a property next to their original home and I was advised to send my items to "The acorns" 14a Bridge Road, Metal, Ely, Cambs.

The last thing I need is to loose these reflectors. Evil or Very Mad

I sent a couple of lamps off to him just before Christmas and they were turned around quickly as promised and returned. Excellent result and service as usual.
I guess he's just incredibly busy due to all those extra projects people are working on since lockdown three.
I got through no problem by phone Ray, suggest you try again at different times.

I have tried the number numerous times over the past week and all I get is "the number you have dialled has not been recognised".

The number I have for him is 01353 778 493

email address: keithardley7@gmail.com

No replies to emails and number not recognised.

Not looking good.

Try this keith@ardley8l42.fsnet.co.uk

He moved to a "new build" on 14 Bridge St land in 2019/20

There is the Three Pickerels a little further on , they might be willing to help, although the place could be closed. There is also a boat building co further along. Bridge Rd is a cul de sac. Failing that, for a few £ buy some credits from 192.com and do a search on properties either side of 14... or... write a letter..... snail mail. BTW it's Mepal, Ely.

Yes Mepal. I wrote that but my not so clever Apple MacBook decided that was not what I meant and changed it to metal Mad

It's a 200 mile round trip. We are supposed to be in lockdown so you can bet your bottom Dollar I would get stopped for making an unnecessary journey. !

Perhaps if it's O.K. for Bojo to swan around Scotland, or Prince Charles to visit his old Dad in Hospital - or even Dominic Cummings to drive to Barnard Castle testing his eye sight...then who knows; perhaps it's O.K. for me to go on a wild Goose chase after some headlight reflectors.?

The only thing I can hold onto is a signed proof of delivery from Royal Mail at 1.37 p.m. on 4/2/21.

Forgive me for being flippant but like a lot of other self employed people whose business - that they have spent many years building up - has gone to the wall, I am having a rotten lockdown.

Yes. The email I sent was kicked back today.

Good news!

Keith Ardley has contacted me and explained the difficulty that has caused him to be cut off from the outside world.

Fortunately, everything is now fine and my silvering job is in good hands.

It literally took me 30 seconds to find this:-

And I have to say it isn't that long that you sent them. Maybe, using the above link, you can get in contact.
