Superb MikeN, you'll have to educate me a little more as to what exactly I'm looking at!

Oh yes, sorry, its a model of a Maxim machine gun.
I found the drawings online and divided every dimension by 3.

The light is very bright at the end of the tunnel. I have digitized all my slides this winter, and am now down to about 10 x 36 negatives out of several thousand. I have taken a break with a rectangular eye problem but by Easter every photo I possess, including old family ones where no negative exists, will be on my computer. And I took the decision to dispose of the negatives too, and turn the corner completely into the modern age. No going back now!

Currently working on three projects, one of which appears to be very popular and that is photos. In 2018 I scanned and saved some 5 years worth of slides, I then revisited my "old family photos" many of which I had added into binders many years ago. Scanning those was easier and quicker than the slides. Since 2001 all my photos are digital. The hard drive file says 5347.

About a week ago I went on a search for some software to assist organise this unwieldy and almost useless collection. End result was Adobe Bridge
It is free, fairly intuitive and easy to learn. Its options are enormous and more than I will ever use. To get a quick insight into what it can do there is a YT video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTYDiKTLlyk

The "Keyword" option in this software is amazing.

BTW, I have 2 external hard drives. One has the original untouched photos (also on Google Drive) and the other is a backup of my Adobe Bridge files which is on C: drive
