Saw this in the Copart classic section:
https://www.copart.co.uk/lot/47120521/clean-title-1972-jaguar-4-2-xj6-chester

Its not a great job, 70's interior looks odd, but not as weird as the screen, roof and doors Shocked not my cup of tea..

There is something else next to it that has similar strange looking door windows?

The sides of the windscreen might be from the split screen of an OTS XK120.
I think the thing next to it might have the same windscreen as my old car.

Those windows really are peculiar. They give the car a look of having "folded up" in the middle, probably down to chassis rust. Quite why anyone would design something intending it to look like that is anyone's guess, maybe their guide dog got in the way?

Well, after nearly twenty years writing articles on Jaguar replicas you have me stumped! I have posted the photos elsewhere to see if I can find out just what it is. One of the worst efforts I have ever seen though

I remember seeing the black car at shows some years ago (10+), quite strange from the rear but fine from the front.

I thought I'd get some answers. It is an Aristocrat kit car, based, as the DVLA shows, on a 1972 XJ 6 mechanics.

No doubt Jaguar are considering a law suit for bringing their marque into disrepute!

I think the leaper on the front is bending down to be sick.

I assume both were created by the same person. The roof sections in both probably came from a MkIV or MkV (Although the rear window in the red one has its frame inside out.) The boot handle is MkIV/V.

It's a bit sad really. Someone obviously wants an XK Jaguar but because they can't afford one they settle for a poor imitation.

They are trying to sell it. I think they decided that they didn't want it after all.

If the price is right I would think it could sell. There are some useful Jaguar parts which are always in demand.

The Jaguar is at the Chester Copart site so either car could be local to us.

Its in the auction at 12:00 this Friday 9th July, has a £6600 pre bid, with an estimated value of £18,500. Cars normally go for between 30-70% of retail value at auction (dependent on damage), so I suspect it will realise £10-14K, cheap for a XK "replica" ....... you get what you pay for!
