I suppose it's horses for courses.
As the long time owner of an Austin Swallow I have come across other owners who think the little car should be regarded as an early form of Jaguar while others think it should be seen as a luxurious Austin Seven.
Personally, I am happy to embrace the association with both marques and their respective histories. |

A large red American convertible passed me today, presumably going to a local gathering. I didn't go as I've been running the fuel down in the Vauxhalls ready for winter. _________________ 1976 Vauxhall HP Firenza, 1976 Vauxhall Sportshatch (x2), 1986 Audi coupe quattro, 2000 Audi TT |

I think there were a number of gatherings on yesterday, a local Ford Sidevalve club gathering, the Cheshire Run (lorries), a local pub breakfast meet, and a road run that called by another pub a little further away. Thankfully the weather was good yesterday, unlike this morning ...

The Tour of Cheshire rally was last Saturday as well, I saw a GT6 parked up in town on Friday night that I've only just remembered. They weren't giving out spectator information this year so as to not encourage crowds. _________________ 1976 Vauxhall HP Firenza, 1976 Vauxhall Sportshatch (x2), 1986 Audi coupe quattro, 2000 Audi TT |

Maroon Jensen CV8 behind me this morning, presumably it was on its way to the local event at the Heritage Centre. _________________ 1976 Vauxhall HP Firenza, 1976 Vauxhall Sportshatch (x2), 1986 Audi coupe quattro, 2000 Audi TT |

I've just seen a gold-coloured Renault 16 on the back of a beavertail transporter of some type. Unfortunately my dash-cam doesn't want to give a usable photo of it as it was moving across my field of view at a junction. _________________ 1976 Vauxhall HP Firenza, 1976 Vauxhall Sportshatch (x2), 1986 Audi coupe quattro, 2000 Audi TT |

Spotted a lovely Land Rover Series 3 swb soft top being transported this morning. Very good condition, looked like a recent restoration. _________________ Various Rootes Vehicles. |
