The weekend after has touring cars (80s / 90s) at Oulton Park on Saturday, and then on the Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend it's Tatton Park on the Saturday and Sunday. _________________ 1976 Vauxhall HP Firenza, 1976 Vauxhall Sportshatch (x2), 1986 Audi coupe quattro, 2000 Audi TT |

I'm only thinking of going on the 28th because I believe there's a Firenza racing there. _________________ 1976 Vauxhall HP Firenza, 1976 Vauxhall Sportshatch (x2), 1986 Audi coupe quattro, 2000 Audi TT |

Tatton Park classic show is next weekend, Saturday and Sunday. The Gawsworth Hall "Youngtimers" show is on the Friday. A little too late now, but it was Smallwood this weekend, Friday to Sunday, but I haven't been to it. I'm also seeing signs for Kelsall vintage rally on June 25th and 26th, I think. _________________ 1976 Vauxhall HP Firenza, 1976 Vauxhall Sportshatch (x2), 1986 Audi coupe quattro, 2000 Audi TT |

Tatton Park show wasn't bad, though the autojumble had a few of the usual stands missing, hopefully just because of the Jubilee weekend. Saturday weather was good, Sunday was awful with it raining almost all day. Half the autojumblers had gone home Saturday night, and lots of the cars didn't turn up either. Still, not the first time it's rained at Tatton, and probably won't be the last.
My next is Llangollen CTW, unless something local crops up in the meantime. There's a classic car parade at Newport Carnival this coming Saturday but I'm not going. _________________ 1976 Vauxhall HP Firenza, 1976 Vauxhall Sportshatch (x2), 1986 Audi coupe quattro, 2000 Audi TT |

Oh, I didn't see this until now, I might have gone but I've left the car in the shed. I'd like to try it one time, though I have heard it's a lot of more modern cars.
Crewe Heritage Centre meeting is Sunday 26th, and Kelsall show is Saturday and Sunday 25th/26th. _________________ 1976 Vauxhall HP Firenza, 1976 Vauxhall Sportshatch (x2), 1986 Audi coupe quattro, 2000 Audi TT |

A decent turnout yesterday at the Plough and Flail for an MG Car Club meeting. I imagine the very nice weather helped. Decent mix of MGs (of course) and others from Aston Martin, Jaguar and many, many more.

Nice Vauxhall.
Looking at the tail ends of the MGAs I was surprised to see them all with separate indicator lamps. I'm much more used to seeing just the bake/tail lights.

I'm looking at that Vauxhall thinking 30/98??
I would love a vintage car like that but maybe with a bit more wing area?
In my ignorance I don't know what wheels/tyres they are. |
