I am having a problem with my primer. I have used "Bonda Primer" for many years without issue. Today I have found that one coat is not properly adhering to another. Also when I try feathering it there is always a ridge that will not go away even with 1200 wet and dry. I have tried everything but it looks like I will have to strip it all off again.

The frustration is that I don't know what I am doing wrong. I have used "standard" cellulose thinners with the primer; trying to save "top gloss" for the finishing coats. Perhaps it is the thinners? It's a new tin.

EDIT... having started to remove the primer, I think (hope) it's localised. I am now getting it to feather in o.k. .....but I still don't know what caused it.?
