Hi
Something I saw on the local news tonight and thought it might be of interest to anyone in that area.

That link will only be good for 1 day so I looked for their own website as well.

A very commendable enterprise. Just the sort of thing I was hoping to find up here in Nottingham. There are also a widespread group of Men in Sheds, but my local group don't yet have a Shed, just a small enthusiastic group trying so desperately hard to raise a very large fund to build one.
It's a shame, the women seem to easily get these kind of well being groups off the ground quite easily but us chaps seem to lack the social cohesion to effect it.
I put a post on my local "Nextdoor" group page asking if lonelely retired or otherwise socially displaced people would like to get involved helping me do bits and pieces. I get swamped with positive responses, many from ladies, but when I actually asked them to meet up, only one chap even responded and he seemingly just wanted a chat.
Good luck to these lads. A very good idea and a way to keep our skills alive.
Peter

Its a great idea for both keeping skills alive but more importantly IMHO giving blokes support and a retreat, especially where they may just sit alone with little in life...

I'm currently acting Chair of the Morris Register, and it made me think about how we could support more.
