I had the exact same issue with my 1932 Minor two-seater. I was heading back from the VSCC Welsh Trial in 2021 and the door lock broke when I got back in the car after a refuel. I managed to get a replacement lock on the Pre-war Minor Forum. _________________ 1989 2CV

Hello Rick. As mentioned many years ago, I had a Morris Minor with OHC engine. It was classed as a 1930 model, but that might have been because it arrived in N.Z in that year. I seem to remember in my hunting for information, that by 1930 the side-valve engine was being used.
Now I can't be certain, but AFAIK the cars with OHC had a plain radiator surround ( and a smudge of oil because of oil leaks from the OHC high pressure system), and that the side valve cars had a center chrome or SS strip on the theirs. Your car has the centre strip.

I hope you don't let it go Rick, it's what I'm here for I'm waiting to see it return to the highways and byways. _________________ 1989 2CV

It'll stay I'm sure.
One of those amazing coincidences just happened 10 minutes ago. The lady I bought it from just gave me a call out of the blue, I haven't spoken with her since we collected it all those years ago ... she doesn't follow anything on here or YT, she just came across a piece of paper that had my number on it.
