Yes, the Cholmondeley Arms meet was a good one, nice to see a good few of the regulars there again and to meet a few new (to me) faces as well. I noticed quite a few classics going past my house the rest of the day, so it looks like 'Drive it Day' was well supported, plus the sunny weather no doubt helped.

I'll leave you with a photo from the Chum; you've got to watch those Lotus Cortina drivers, they can be a bit hairy! Wink

I've just applied to display the car at Oulton Park for the "Touring Car Rewind" event in a couple of weeks time. I wonder if the weather will still be nice.

This month's Tern Hill (tomorrow, Weds 13th) might be a bit showery if the forecast is anything to go by.

Weaver Wander is coming up, as is the Hinstock Memorial Hall down in Shrops. Combermere is Sunday 17th I believe.

I'm at Oulton Park on Saturday for the Touring Cars Rewind thing I mentioned above. Sunday morning, the 17th, is the meeting at The Old Piggery.

Smallwood is on the next weekend, 23rd-25th. I've never been to that one, if the weather is decent I might go along and have a look. Gawsworth Youngtimers is on the bank holiday Monday.

Ah yes, Oulton, that sounds like it could be a very good event, we might end up there.

^ Might be a bit too late now, but there are display spots available.

I've just noticed that the "Anything Goes" classic car show is on July 17th. This is a Friday evening do, usually well attended. SY14 8JH is the postcode, it's near Malpas behind the Indian restaurant.

I've just had an email to confirm that the Cholmondeley Castle show is on, September 20th. Display passes available from the web site.

There's an event at the Royal Oak, Worleston, 24th May from 11am.

That late start time puts me off - I've got quite used to these Sunday morning meetings but I quite like to get away around 11.30, get back for lunch then get something done in the afternoon. Starting at 11 means there's probably an expectation to stay until around 2-3pm and that's the day gone.

Tanks for the heads-up, I'll book a place at that one, I'm glad it's back on, I have a home point advantage there as it's only 10 mins away, so my car will arrive unadorned by squashed flies and road dust! Very Happy

I might make the Piggery on Sunday if the weather's dry.

Just booked, bit of a swizz that we can't get the 'early bird' book before March exhibitors price, as they've only just listed the flipping thing! Never mind, I'm not going to fall out with them for two quid, plus I won't feel guilty now if it's tipping it down on the day and I decide to stay in bed instead!
