G'day all, well over the Australia day weekend I had a bit of time to do a bit to the Series3. I thought to myself I wonder if the engine would turn over, got out the crank handle and yes over she went as smooth as silk so I got the courage to attach a fuel line to the pump and to my surprise I could still pump up fuel into the bowl and the carby with the manual lift pump so with the help of the battery off my rider mower and a little fuel down the carby the old girl fired into life on the 2nd crank and ran like it had never stopped & no smoke.
The radiator to my surprise only had to be topped up with about 1 !/2 Litres of water. Not bad after 23 years since I parked her.
Lord Rootes made them well in those days.
I was elated
