Dad and I went down to Stoneleigh yesterday to the Race Retro event, basically a motorsport show with the emphasis on historic racing, and companies involved with car restoration, the supply of components, and so on. All in all a great day out. There were also live demonstrations of autotesting (looked like a lot of fun), karting, and 70s/80s rally cars. Most of the 'action' shots I took didn't work too well but I've included a few to give an idea of what went on

Nice set of pictures you have posted Rick. I suspect that when you took a couple of them you were thinking about forum members, or is that just a coincidence?
Nice to see some of the classics being used as well! |

well spotted I thought stuchamp would approve of the Iowa Fire Truck, and I wondered if the 2CV might give old nail some ideas with his 2nd CV purchase!!

Rick, you have way too much fun!
So how did an Iowa Fire Truck end up over there?
Iowa Falls is about 60 miles due west of me. Still have engines in service here of that vintage in the smaller towns.
What's the story on the woody in progress? |
