Hi all well we started the strip down now, plan is to have on raod for next summer, a few qusetions,what does the overdrive do on a mg. also where do i get the engine number on my plate on engine it says bhm111 etc but on a jubilee web site they put 18v etc etc... not sure what it means

Can't help with the numbers but it looks like a great project... Compared to my Sprite, it only needs a wipe with an oily rag.

Hi Dazdawn

I may be breaking an MGB GT, if you need any bits, its complete, includes some new carbs (done 1500 miles) and and a little used stainless steel exhaust.

so far we need is a oil cooler, nothing else as still on the strip down wont be re buiding till after new year

how do you get to the bolts to undo the doors ??? do you need to take the wing off as cant get to the bolt??? thanks

Hi

Unless my memory is playing tricks , there are 4 bolts per hinge which you get at from the door side of the A pillar. Or you can remove the door from the hinge, I think there are 2 bolts per hinge, you will need to remove the trim etc if you do it this way.

Hi Daz Dawn, by now I guess you are getting on with your project, any update? By the way, what did you mean when you said "what does the overdrive do on an MG?" - The overdrive is pretty straight forward, but what's your question? Confused Rgds Rich...
