Hi Peter,
I think I have found the answer to the missing vacuum advance. 43D performance distributor has no vacuum advance and a modified advance curve, making is suitable for all fast road MGB's.

Direct replacement for both 25D and 45D distributors .

Hi Eddie,

By coincidence I was just looking at a scrap 1300 Marina engine this evening and its distributor had no provision for vacuum advance either. I'm glad you
found the answer.
