Chaps, I'm restoring my 1958 Aston Martin and want to get hold of a "replica" Lucas battery. The strange thing is that I've located one in the US from a company called antique auto batteries http://www.antiqueautobattery.com/ and they show an absolutely perfect replica Lucas battery right down to the proper cell caps !

But I just cannot find the same thing in the UK and it's madness to ship a car battery from the States!

Has anyone got any good sources of classic car batteries in the UK Question

Cheers Rich...

Here are a couple..

http://www.linconbatteries.co.uk/home.html

http://www.dbwilsonjr.com/batteries.html

Don't be put off by the website for D B Wilson, they make a very nice battery the
same as your picture, except that it does have external cell connectors. I bought one from them recently and the previous one lasted 13 years.

You can see the new one here.

Peter

p.s. Sorry, neither of these has "Lucas" written on them.

Here's another source.

Rich

Lincon are 2 minutes from me. I have been using them for years and find them an excellent company.

Let me know if you need any help , or a coffee if you are collecting!
