Don't know why it has taken me so long to find this forum!
I have been potching about with old cars since long before someone called them Classics.
Certainly seems to be some varied interests here and I can associate with most of them. In a nutshell, my story is that I re-established an acquaintance with a friend from schooldays and found we both shared the same interest in old cars. Since then we have built quite a collection!
Earliest is a Morris Commercial dating from the Normandy landings and most recent a Porsche 924S. There's always something to show, something in the workshop and a couple of basket cases to dream about!
The wives are not always as enthusiastic as ourselves about new acquisitions and only last week there was a Mini to be saved from the crusher.
I am looking forward to establishing myself on these pages! |

Bore da, fellow Welshman. As I said before, why is it that classic enthusiasts cannot only have one car? |

Welcome from another Welshman. Are you aware there is a show at Groesfaen this weekend?

Thanks for your good wishes gents...
We've been on hols to Portugal last week which is not exactly a haven for classic enthusiast, save for Renault 4s the odd Moke and a very nice Opel Olympia spotted in Armacao.
Yes, the mini was saved and next weekend Mrs C promises me the chance to get the 100e laid up for the winter and bring the BMW 2002 out of long term storage (1992) to start restoration.
Sadly missed Groes Faen, used to be a great show, and with no real news about Malvern it looks like the next outing will be NEC! |

That's a straight looking Opel Bob! Just shows what a dry climate can do.
But the one I spotted was an older model, smaller and early 50's I would say, black and recently restored.
No time for a picture. |
