Welcome Robert. Can you post some pics of the Husky? Hillmans of this era are very well made and great to drive. I've got a 1960 Minx saloon (also off the road at the moment, but quite low mileage and in reasonable condition) and a 1962 Minx saloon which needs a considerable amount of work if it is to go back on the road.

What work is required on the Husky?

Andrew

Great to see the photos, thanks!! my guess is that the bonnet and front valance (under the bumper) are common to the Minx saloon, so you should be able to find replacements I'd have thought. The rest of the body looks fixable, so with a bit of luck you might not need to buy too many replacement panels, maybe just a few repair sections if they are available.

Nice project (and is the old pickup in the background yours too??)

Hi Robert,

Do you have an engine for your Husky? The series I and II Minxes also use the same 1390cc one or I think you can slot in the 1494cc one from a series III without modification.
