I decided to grease all the points on my Zephyr yesterday. It's the first time I've done it and all went well apart from the universal joints. I couldn't find the grease nipples. They ceratinly aren't located as per the service manual. Could they have been removed and temporarily replaced with a stud or could they be sealed? I should point out the car wasn't up on a ramp, so I was doing most of this by feel!!

Thanks
David

They could have been replaced at sometime with a completely sealed unit.
Even at the factory they could have had different suppliers one with the nipples one without. I have seen that on most cars, the frenchies are number one as they had so many different suppliers for one item nothing can be taken for granted, it depends what was in the parts bin at the time Rolling Eyes

A lot of the repair kits came without the provision of grease nipples.I suppose one way to guarantee a constant demand for any service item is to ensure that eventually it will fail due to lack of lubrication.
