What sort of tractor is it Busy Bee, some tractors are worse than others when freezing causes damage. David Browns are particularily prone to serious damage. _________________ When I exhibit a car I get the Shudders. People queue up to tell me.

Hi
I did the antifreeze on the mini, but it had alot of old water left in it, only able to take the hose off half way up the block, due to some garage putting the clip on the bottom hose facing the subframe, not sure how!
That is reading, -12 - -15 now, and the tractor is reading -50! hehe
The tractor was running for a good time, and it seemed to drip from one core plug, but no where else, so will have to pressure test it sometime for internal damage!
The Ford is still empty or as empty as I can, as I can't run that to circulate the antifreeze yet.
Cheers

I used a 30% mix of CarPlan Blue Star (£15 for 5L concentrate) and had about a litre left in the bottom of the watering can I was using to refill the truck. The watering can was left outside and on Saturday, when it got to -10 here, I had a look at the can when taking the dogs round the garden and it was still liquid with no crystallisation so it appears good stuff to me.
Pity about it only lasting 2 years - need to remember to change it!

From in one case experienced years ago and another observed on the off/right side under the manifolds whether petrol or diesel as seen one of each. No other damage in either case. Wonderweld sorted both luckily.
Fingers crossed you'll be OK. _________________ Jonathan Butler

Are ready mixed cans no good?
I use bardhal on my cars which says 49% on the can, i.e. 49% of anti freeze and 51 of water.
Not that anything will freeze in malta but I use it more for its anti rust agents and higher (than normal water) boiling temperature. |
