I have just replaced the hub oil seal in my A30, what is the recommended replacement oil for the diff. I have been told it is ep 90. is this right.

I have no personal knowledge of A30's but EP90 was the norm for the vast majority of cars at that time.

Yes, EP90 was the recommended oil for the A30 rear axle.
