Some really interesting old pictures there Rick. It's possible to re-create some old scenes, but a lot of these would be impossible.
Corsairs feature in a couple of shots. An old mate of mine, who died earlier this year, was a radio operator on the carrier Vengeance, at the end of the war in the far east. The Corsairs on board were lend-lease, and any surviving ones had to be paid for, so one day, the ship was put astern, and the Corsairs were pushed off the bow in a neat line. I wonder if any of those will be discovered?
