Old post bumped up, as things seem to be moving on Just Jane.
The Panton brothers have this week, taken delivery of the 4th Merlin, zero timed and built approved for flight, rather than a taxi only unit.
Also, they have applied to the CAA for flight testing permission.
There could be a 2nd Lancaster flying this year, with a bit of luck. Very Happy

That was very interesting Jim, a second Lancaster flying! ...
Imagine if they ever flew together, that'd be a great sight!
Also the picture of the full size replica for the Dambusters film looked very convicing.... from a distance anyway!

The brothers were talking about this in 2009 to a mutual friend.
Ray also has close contact with the BBMF.

Be that as it may, It would be nice to see two Lancasters flying again.

The only down side would be no more close up and hands on for Joe public.

Hopefully, here are two shots of Just Jane showing here teeth - takem about 18 months ago on a Classic Bike Club visit.
Rather intimidating with those whirly bits a few yards away!
The green Kawasaki visible is another club member's and the Amaranth Red Avon Fairing visible belongs to my Triumph Speed Twin.

Jim.

Added - Sorry folks it did not work. I will try again.
