I am surprised that there has been no more comment on the Chevrolet Corvair. I was parked near one early in the season. the engine bay is just something! Surely someone on here has one?

My Dad had one of the first official VW imports in 1953 ( I think), of which he was very proud.
Herself and I have had two air-cooled Citroens, a 1967 Ami 6 bought in 1970 and replaced by a new Ami 8 in 1972. Both estate cars and great cars, both of them.

Also had one of these, restored from a real basket case over about 18 months. Now resident at someone's villa on Minorca.

I have a 110 hp Corvair engine and transaxle but lost interest when a few of the studs on both heads snapped off- besides they rotate bassackwards

There was a thread about a Corvair restoration, I believe it was a chap in South America somewhere, I think he has also done a Mini.

Rick might recall who it is and know where to find the thread.
