A light yellow (primrose?) Frogeye Sprite has just driven past. |

I've just seen a blue A-prefix 3-door Metro parked at the local shop. Chap has owned it for around 30 years, just uses it as a second car now. |

Hi
Today at Cadishead t/lights a Panda car liveried Hillman Imp, then a bright white MGBGT "L" suffix on the M6 just south of Knutsford.
In Swindon a white SD1 up on axle stands.
There was also a TX4 (bit modern I know) mounted on Santa's Sleigh and decorated with Christmas lights out side Mere Golf Club. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

Must have been the same one over here in South Wales, Rick. Unlikely to have more than one. |

HAve had an Osprey sneaking about up here these past few weeks...A tad noisy [not as noisy as a Chinook..and certainly not as noisy as a Merlin] _________________ Dellow Mk2, 1951 built, reg 1952.

Hi
Just seen a very tidy pale green/torquoise 100E Popular in Swindon, running on alloys and just possibly re-engined judging by the sound and acceleration. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

Beautiful Mk1. Interesting to know these were called "big saloon". Not so big now anymore _________________ a car stops being fun when it becomes an investment |

Agreed, a cracker, I still can't decide whether I prefer the Mk1 or Mk2.

Same here. When the Mk2 came out I preferred it ... but as my tastes have matured I have grown to prefer the more genteel look of the older car.
(It may be sacrilege but a 2.5 PI lump would be my choice. I still have a laminated 6 card P.I. fault diagnosis and service pack issued by BL to main dealers that I could be persuaded to part with for a reasonable sum) |

And the same for me as well. I have owned two Mk2s for a couple of years and am a long term owner of a Mk1. That I did not sold the Mk1 probably says in which direction my favour lies.
In the end it is a bit apples and pears, you should not have to make the choice because they are different generations.
Similarly I very much adore a S1 XJ6, but also the 420 I have. There is not a case of which is the better one because the newer generation will have more plus points. That said, newer generations miss out on more typical older generation stuff which I rate quite high. Sixties things like more delicate styling, nicer interior detailing etc. _________________ a car stops being fun when it becomes an investment |

Yep, any Mk1 or Mk2 I ever have would need the 2500S engine in it (PI isn't for me).
