I saw a large cream-coloured vintage tourer yesterday, from behind, could it be the same vehicle?

Loads of cars Sunday at the 60th of the E-type meeting, but I was really interested in one, since I had been informed that chassis #20 roadster would be there. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. I have never ever seen an E-type in such poor condition. Not rusty, you understand, but it didn't have the right engine, the carbs and induction were 4.2 not 3.8, the bonnet was wrong and in fact so was the majority of the car. I reckon most of it came from a 4.2 E-type from about 1965. Doors, screen pillars, trim and it just went on and on. The owner was interested in restoring it, but finding the correct parts will be a nightmare - and very, very expensive!

No, it was a very distinctive blue/green colour, hence why I recognised it. It's appeared at VSCC Oulton in the past. (I'm not quite sad enough to identify passing 1912 15hp Iris at random!)

A Vitesse saloon seen outside a local garage this morning, and a tweaked Mk2 Escort outside another. A couple of days ago a Karmann Ghia ragtop was spotted in the area, but overall still not many oldies out and about really.

Land Rovers have to have a certain something to them to get my attention, and this one had it, in part because of the canvas back you rarely see, and in part because it just looked right.

A Chinook just flew over again, heading west-ish. And I just remembered I saw a metallic brown Porsche 911 yesterday afternoon while I was out in the hatch.

Went down the yard today and my friend had a drive out in his Scimitar, he was getting it ready for its MOT on Friday.

While walking my dog yesterday evening I saw a 1960s Chevrolet. I think it was an Impala but it was hurtling up our single track lane at speed and was on me before I knew it. The dog and I got out of the way just in time!

Later that evening I picked my wife up from her night out. We were in the P38 and found the lane blocked by three Police cars so I turned round and drove round to the other end of the lane ...and even more Police.!!

My contact tells me the Chevrolet was dumped and the occupants ran off. The Police removed some items of interest to them from the boot. They also disabled the car.

All I know is it's serious crime.

This morning I overtook (in my A40) a small convoy of 3 wartime jeeps with suitably attired occupants going up the Lewes road. The lead vehicle sported a .30 cal. on a pintle mount complete with ammo belt hanging out the side. Sussex police headquarters is in Lewes. They might take a dim view of that driving past their front door.
Looked pretty good though!

Yes, it was at Hazelbury.

Why was Ilminster cancelled then?
