Hi from a fairly warm North Cyprus.
I used to own a 1953 A40 Austin Somerset Reg OLK 853. Sold it before we left the UK about 6 years ago.
I am just wondering if any one has seen it or know where it is now living.
Cheers.
Bill. |

Hi Bill,
You can type in a numberplate here, and it will tell you which car it relates to:
www.cartell.ie
Registration OLK853
Make AUDI
Model TT
Description QUATTRO (225 BHP)
Fuel Type Petrol
CO2 (g/km)* 228
VRT % Rate ** 36
The good news is that the Austin probably still exists, the bad news is that it will be difficult to track it down if you don't know the new reg. _________________ Richard Hughes |

Hi Richard H & welshrover.
Thanks for that. Would love to know why the guy sold the number plate. I was at a car show in the Birmingham area when i owned the A40, there was a guy going round asking us if we wanted to sell our registrations. I am sure he said mine was worth around £800.
Then again maybe the A40 has been scrapped.

You have just answered your own question.
Not sure what price you sold the car for,but the purchaser recouped £800.00 less fees from the purchase price.
