Only a few of these A 40 Devons here in Malta. It took me around four years to finish this nut and bolt restoration as I have another three British classics to attend to. Nevertheless, I am happy with the end result. Thanks for your nice comments.
Cheers

Victor,

As one A40 owner to another, that is a superb car! It certainly leaves mine for dead! My congratulations on such a fabulous finished product.

Hi Everybody,
Thank you all for your nice comments. This is very encouraging and much appreciated. The other three British classics that I have are already on the road and have been restored for some time now. The cars are a 1946 Rover 12 P2, an 1946 Austin 8 (very rare in Malta) and an 1953 Ford Popular 103E. An 1955 Lambretta 1.25L is awaiting restoration hopefully!
As soon as I have time I will post some photos of these three cars. You will note that their registration numbers are personalised too! I am sure you will like them.
Cheers

My other three British classic cars.
1946 Rover 12 P2, 1946 Austin 8 and 1953 Ford Popular 103E.
All cars are in very good condition and enjoyable to drive. The Ford Popular is the first classic car that I have owned for these last 25 years, obviously not in the good condition she is today after a complete restoration. Although the car is very basic, it proved to be successful. [img][/img][/img][img][/img][img][/img][img][/img][img][/img][img][/img][img][/img][img][/img]

Hi I am from Malta too and have seen some of your cars around at various shows, I think you're a member of the Old Motors Club right?
Well very nice cars you have there, Proset!! Wink

Hi bob2,
I drive them around especially on Sunday mornings. You know that Bugibba is the meeting place for classic car enthusiasts. However, now that I am retired from work I take the opportunity to use them during weekdays too when taking my wife for errands. Thanks for your nice comments. Yes I am a member of the Old Motors Club Malta, the Ford Sidevalve Owners Club UK and The Rover Sports Register UK.
Cheers

Well I am from the south of Malta but used to go to the Fra Ben Parking lot before it was closed for the building of the aquarium. Nowadays I attend mostly club meetings (I am in the Malta Mini Owners Club) and sometimes use the hillman for a drive around with my family or go to Wied iz Zurrieq on sundays.
I too use mine for certain errands but not as often as I wish too, I'm still far away from a retiring age!! Smile

As an Austin A40 Devon 1951 owner myself,I would like to say hello.

You have carried out a very good job on restoring your car.
It looks very nice finished in the blue.

Mine is original from new and finished in black.

These models must be in very far flung parts of the world, and still,in use.

Hello Gresham Flyer,
Thanks for your compliment. I was thinking of finishing the car in black. Black is my favourite on classic cars and makes them look elegant. But since I already have the Ford Pop in black, I opted for the blue which is nice too and not very common on these cars.
