50 years ago today, the first flight of a Concorde prototype took place.

A visit to the Fleet Air Arm Museum enabled us to have a good look over G-BSST, Concorde prototype 002, a truly amazing bit of kit.

Hi
Interesting that they have the BAC 221 next to it, that was the conversion of one of the Fairey FD2s which was used to air test the ogee wing formation for use on Concord.

A few days after poring over prototype 002 (G-BSST), we headed over to the excellent Aerospace Bristol to visit G-BOAF. This was the final Concorde to fly, in 2003.

It was great to be able to mooch around underneath the aircraft and take our time, something that the people housing G-BOAC at Manchester could learn something from, so hurried was our last (organised) visit there.

As with Yeovilton, well worth a visit.

For the second time, BBC have removed the Antiques Roadshow episode held at the Concorde museum in Bristol, from Sunday's (tonight's) schedule - replacing it this time with something called Primates Mad Mad Mad Will they ever show it???!! It was first due to air weeks ago.

Hi
It was shown on the 24th and is still on iPlayer if you missed it.

But it is a repeat of the Feb 2019 programme

Hi yes I saw it, I didn't realise at first that it was a repeat. Some interesting items but I'm sure there were plenty of other Concorde items not shown Confused
