Yes, but it IS a nice small 2 seater open sports which I think you do not have now? Great to drive around in the sun with your son next to you, I am sure he would be thrilled.
Having the history with the car makes it extra special. If it is not too expensive why not? _________________ a car stops being fun when it becomes an investment |

In the days in the 80s when the DVLA would reply to you I acquired the complete history of my E-type, and have copies of V5's, letters from former owners, and am now on the fourth ring binder of letters and mostly of course, bills. From fuses through to the last rebuild in 2013, and shortly for a set of LED's to replace the bulbs and provide enough light to read the dashboard at night. I need to find out about the headlights though, because I hear that for the Lucas PL700 "ban the bomb" headlights the kit is now available, but I am not sure if it will mean actually changing the headlights, which I am loath to do. Most of it is a simple swap, apart from the rev counter and speedo that is.
Rick, reading the story of your Spitfire showed a great aptitude at a tender age and also a determination to learn and overcome. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Thank you. |
