Before last November I could post more than one photo on a post , not just on this forum but others also.
My computer developed a Trojan. it was removed but since this time if I try and post more than one photo the post is deleted and I have to start all over again.
So funnily enough it is quicker to post separate photo`s than go though all that every time.
On another note......thank you for your kind comments.

These are my favourite threads, seeing cars going through the resto/re-furbishment phases step-by-step, so thanks to everyone who has thread(s) running of this type

very nice and pretty quick too!!
Wouldn't mind something similar for hauling stuff around although it would be a shame to put that nice van to work and put scratches on that nice paint! |

The items I would pick up in this van would be smaller than engines or gearboxes.
Most parts would be in cardboard boxes, containers or bags etc.
A nice piece of washable hardura floor covering will protect the painted floor.
I certainly do not want an engine tipping over and depositing its oily mess into every nook and cranny.

I think the Austin A30/A35 van is so iconic of Britain in the 1950`s / 1960`s and sums up the era just like the Morris Minor Traveller seems to do.
It has charm and is a joy to look at parked up in most places.
Another small van that portray`s British design of this time is the Morris Minor Van.
I must admit I prefer to drive the Austin van than the Morris.
I have both so can compare like for like easily.
It is easier to reverse along a driveway, into parking spots, is not as noisy inside like the Morris or so harsh to drive .

I have just arrived at this thread. Having read it through, I am most impressed. You don't hang about, do you?
As I do my own spraying I can appreciate the work that goes into it.
My first car was an A30 and I had a friend with a van which I always liked the look of. I agree that although the Morris Minor Van was good, it wasn't as nice to drive as the Austin.
Can you confirm if (unlike the car) your Morris Van has a separate chassis? I seem to remember seeing under one years ago but I can't remember for sure.
Thanks. |
