Hi All,

Just joined and like the site. Have just bought myself a 1948 Austin A70 Pick-up.

Here are a couple of pics. One is when it was assembled and the other as it is now, stripped down for paint job.

Work will commence once we have it home on Thursday.

Good to have you on board, look forward to following your progress.

Have you seen the thread about Mo's pickup?

Thanks Rick,

Yes I saw that post and very interesting. I believe that is a 1952 model whereas mine is 1948 so not sure if there are any/much difference.

Mine arrives here on Thursday from Melbourne, it has been part reassembled for transport

What engine and axles are fitted - or are just the wheels later replacements?

The previous owner fitted a disc brake front end and it was running on a Mazda 626 engine and gearbox. I am getting the original parts with it if I ever want to put them back.
