Restoration of my "new" fresh air heater (bought last week)
Its a correct and original LHD model Cool


Its amazing that these sheity / chinese repro companies cant find out how to make decent rubber Rolling Eyes
The rubber elbow (left in pic) is 53 years old, and its as soft, as if it had been made yesterday Cool

No it will be given the full treatment, like the bracket for the fan switch.

A bit of sanding & the original BMC paint in Fiesta Yellow could be seen.

We had our annual swapmeet on sunday, and I managed to find a correct switch for fan.

As you can see in this photo of the bracket, does the normal switch not fit (dont have room to operate fully)





But on Sunday I found the correct switch, and not only was it NOS, the date stamp is 39-61 Cool

Here is a pic of both types together.

The left one is the correct switch.
