Could anyone recommend a good hide food for keeping leather seats (and my old leather jacket!) supple?

Connolly hide food is very expensive compared to something like Gold Label (see link, below), which seems to be the same sort of bees' wax and lanolin product - for a fraction of the price.

Is there any difference? Are you paying extra for the Connolly name?

Has anyone used either of these? Suggestions and testimonials please!!!

I've only ever used Hide Food. It is expensive but you don't need a lot. Basically once the leather has been rejuvenated normal use is all that's needed.

I've just done a 21 yr old classic Range Rovers leather interior and an 11 yr old BMW's leather interior with Gliptone cleaner and conditioner and i'm very happy with the results

£23 for 1 litre of the cleaner GT12
£30 for 1 litre of the conditioner GT11

www.liquidleather.com

You can buy smaller quantities

Mr Sheen will do the job every bit as well as the usual hide treatments.

Many years ago I did the seats in my Rover p4 with "dubbin" the results were very good, I used the clear but I believe you can get it in colours now.
Gold Label Dubbin
