Had a look round the van the rear legs look to have been left down and draged round the field

They aren't sized so with some hammering to straighten them they have wound down .both need to come off as one mount needs welding and properly straightening.

Underside looks not in bad nick

In its new home ready to start

Some of the body work issues to the gel coat .

Plan is windows out new glass where needed polish frames . Sort the body damage and cracks where it needs it , then old English white and baby blue roof and side flashes and maby some subtle pin stripeing maby.. Chassis going to get cleaned back and probably painted old English aswell. Insides down to the wife ,but most will be rub down and repaint . The floor feels a little soft so looks like its going to need replacing . Toilets coming out for more storage and cookers geting replaced with a nicer enamel Job. Fridge id like to salvage but not sure yet .

But before all that it needs all the brake and suspension mechanics going over as nothing works and the rams dead

what are the old style hitches like ? Keep or replace with something more modern?

Jim

Check the hitch size - either 2" or 50mm. Not quite compatible. The 2" hitch will fit on a 50mm ball but is quite slack, and any wear could make things interesting!
The 2" ball trying to take a 50mm hitch has been known to need hydraulic rams to separate afterwards!
