Just out of the hospital where i had surgery on my stomach to get rid of the infected part of the stomach that was destroyed by the radiaton treathment.
The surgery was a succes according to the doctor,so i am happy now.
It is a bit difficult for me to explain what they did in plain english but if you search for gastric bypass you get the idea, only my stomach is almost completly removed.
Before i went to surgery i did some minor work on the bike, the restored leather toolbox came back from the restorer and i´ve been busy with the acetylene lamp, also bought a bead roller.........never know if i need it for future projects

I made an electric drive on the bead roller, old drill, some sprockets from a moped..........done!

Because the Terrot is a French bike i wanted to add a french touch to it,most veteran bike owners put on the back a picknickbasket or a old doctorsbag but i want to put on a breadbasket........french style.
So i bought an small umbrella standing basket and a french bread.
I pored 2k epoxy over the bread to keep it moisture free and make it a bit solid,
Later i will make a bracket for it.

Also bought a Yamaha FS1,the intention is to recreate the FS1 i owned back in the '70s........a future project.
The Yamaha is running perfect but to recreate my old one i need to chance tank, sidecovers and exhaust and other small parts,oh.......and colour.........it will be popsicle purple 1973

Now this was all for some while, thuesday i'll get surgery on my left hand and will be in a cast for two weeks and after that 10 weeks in a splint and a total of 4-5 months recovery.

Lovely work Rene,

I had a gold FS1E in 1979 and would love another, they do fetch a good price whatever the condition!

Good luck with the recovery

Thanks Kevin,FS1's are also expansive overhere but in the UK even more expansive.
The one i bought is for me the wrong type but was affordable because it is a '79 type, this is less wanted as a '73 type.
Ofcourse i want the 73,the frame is the same and engine too.
Today i've had an offer for a full tinset, tank, covers shocks, lamp and lampholders in the right colour(popsicle purple)in state of new!
It was the same price as i payed for the fs1 Crying or Very sad
Even so i bought it as i ill never find it again,if i buy old damaged stuff and restore and paint it i will be losing money.
Painting i can't do myself because of the candy colour and a pro painter will charge about 700 euro's to paint it.
First i got to sell the dog and my wife to work the streets, than i'll pick up the parts.
Tomorrow morning at 8.00 surgery first, not looking forward to it but it has to be done.

Been a while but i could'nt do much work on the bikes with only the use of one hand, but with a little help from some friends and my wife i managed to repair the frame of the fizzy, welded some holes shut and painted the frame.
Bought new rims and spokes, refurbished the brake drums and was busy for 4 days to get the spokes into the rims, normally this job takes an hour but with one hand it takes a bit longer Smile
Does not matter,i am busy and really doing something i like.
When the wheels were done i started the rebuild on a slow pace, now i managed to go this far...........

Fizzy looks fantastic, nice job. Reminds me of my youth, many happy days on one of those, except mine was yellow and somewhat scruffier Embarassed
